The 3rd annual charity Golf Classic for the Luca John Foundation was held on Sept. 26th at Highland Meadows Gold Course. It was the best turnout to date with 60 golfers, which is almost double last year. They raised almost $15,000.00 which was $500.00 more than last year. There were over 30 auction items donated and everything went! The Luca John Foundation was started after the death of Highland Meadows residents John and Barb Flynn’s 2nd grandson, Luca. He lived only 90 minutes, but has left an amazing legacy. What the foundation does is provide financial assistance to families for funerals and burials of their infant children up to one year old. They try to be a small light in an otherwise very dark time in these families’ lives. John and Barb Flynn are so appreciative to the Highland Meadows community and surrounding area for all those who participated in the event. They would like to thank everyone for their extreme generosity in supporting their mission. Don’t forget to join them next year!
